Aaron Weikle
Founder
Aaron holds a Computer Science degree from Shepherd University and a Master's in Software Engineering from West Virginia University. A serial entrepreneur, he has founded multiple ventures including Lost and Found Homes, API Pro, and Mountain State Software Solutions.
As an active real estate investor in Sarasota, Florida, Aaron experienced firsthand the gap between existing financial tools and what investors actually need. That frustration — combined with his software engineering expertise and an AI company he runs in Brazil — led him to build RealBooks.
Vanesa Patino
COO
Vanesa is an international economist and C-suite leader with deep expertise in finance, operations, technology, and digital transformation. Her career spans executive roles at Citigroup/HSBC, Microsoft, Nortel Networks, Ciena, Ultimate Software (UKG), and Valley Forge Fabrics.
A trusted strategist in financial modeling, M&A initiatives, and business digitalization, she holds an MBA in International Business and recently graduated from Harvard Business School's Artificial Intelligence Program. Vanesa is recognized as a transformational leader who relentlessly pursues P&L optimization.
David Zinn
Board Member
David brings over 20 years of technology startup advisory to RealBooks. As Co-Founder and Managing Director at Ocean Azul Partners, he has helped founders scale companies across AI, fintech, and enterprise software. A Columbia Business School graduate and CPA, he also serves on the executive committees of the FIU Board of Directors and the Florida Venture Forum.
His deep network and hands-on experience guiding startups through fundraising, growth strategy, and market positioning make him an invaluable partner in building RealBooks into a category leader.
Dion Joannou

Dion is a seasoned executive and investor based in Fort Lauderdale who has led companies to over $1B in enterprise valuation. Known for his sharp understanding of technology and its application to enterprise business, he brings strategic board-level guidance to RealBooks.
With an active portfolio spanning AI, marketing technology, and digital services, Dion is valued by colleagues for his exceptional leadership, attention to detail, and ability to drive results at scale.
Anthony Sabella
Advisor
Anthony is a CPA and Managing Partner of Sabella & Marshall CPAs PLLC, a Sarasota-based advisory and accounting firm serving medical, real estate, technology, and professional services businesses. With over two decades of experience in tax strategy and complex financial structuring, he brings operational depth and deal-level sophistication to RealBooks.
As an early investor and advisor, Anthony has guided RealBooks' financial strategy from the ground up. His work with real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and family offices gives him direct insight into the inefficiencies the platform was built to solve. He is also a partner in multiple ventures across real estate and the restaurant industry.
