Aaron Weikle
Founder
Aaron holds a Computer Science degree from Shepherd University and a Master's in Software Engineering from West Virginia University. A serial entrepreneur, he has founded multiple ventures including Lost and Found Homes, API Pro, and Mountain State Software Solutions.
As an active real estate investor in Sarasota, Florida, Aaron experienced firsthand the gap between existing financial tools and what investors actually need. That frustration — combined with his software engineering expertise and an AI company he runs in Brazil — led him to build RealBooks.
David Zinn
Board Member
David brings over 20 years of technology startup advisory to RealBooks. As Co-Founder and Managing Director at Ocean Azul Partners, he has helped founders scale companies across AI, fintech, and enterprise software. A Columbia Business School graduate and CPA, he also serves on the executive committees of the FIU Board of Directors and the Florida Venture Forum.
His deep network and hands-on experience guiding startups through fundraising, growth strategy, and market positioning make him an invaluable partner in building RealBooks into a category leader.
Dion Joannou
Board Member
Dion is a seasoned executive and investor based in Fort Lauderdale who has led companies to over $1B in enterprise valuation. Known for his sharp understanding of technology and its application to enterprise business, he brings strategic board-level guidance to RealBooks.
With an active portfolio spanning AI, marketing technology, and digital services, Dion is valued by colleagues for his exceptional leadership, attention to detail, and ability to drive results at scale.
Vanesa Patino
Advisor - COO
Vanesa is an international economist and C-suite leader with deep expertise in finance, operations, technology, and digital transformation. Her career spans executive roles at Citigroup/HSBC, Microsoft, Nortel Networks, Ciena, Ultimate Software (UKG), and Valley Forge Fabrics.
A trusted strategist in financial modeling, M&A initiatives, and business digitalization, she holds an MBA in International Business and recently graduated from Harvard Business School's Artificial Intelligence Program. Vanesa is recognized as a transformational leader who relentlessly pursues P&L optimization.
Sam Primm
Advisor - Real Estate
Sam is one of the most recognized voices in real estate investing, with a combined social media following exceeding 3.5 million. He co-founded FasterHouse, flipping 250 to 300 homes per year, and FasterFreedom, an education platform that has taught over 2,100 students to build wealth through real estate.
Managing a $50 million rental portfolio, Sam brings firsthand operational expertise and a vast investor network to RealBooks — ensuring the platform solves real problems for real investors at every scale.
Dani Lopatin
Advisor - Finance
Dani is an executive and investor with over 15 years of experience in strategy, finance, and digital transformation. He previously served as an executive member and President of Argano, a billion-dollar technology services company, and has led two successful exits across his career.
Having lived on three continents and speaking four languages fluently, Dani brings a truly global perspective to the RealBooks board. His contributions span strategic vision, financial rigor, exit execution, and practical expertise in commercial scaling, strategic partnerships, and technology-driven operational improvements.
Anthony Sabella
Advisor - CPA
Anthony is a CPA and Managing Partner of Sabella & Marshall CPAs PLLC, a Sarasota-based firm serving real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and family offices. He brings two decades of tax strategy and financial structuring expertise to RealBooks.
As an early investor and advisor, Anthony has helped shape RealBooks' financial strategy. His expertise in tax application has driven new features that save investors thousands of dollars. Anthony also is a partner in multiple real estate and restaurant ventures of his own.
Mike Torres
Advisor - CPA
Mike is the founder and managing partner of PAAST, P.L., a Certified Public Accounting and consulting firm and member of PrimeGlobal, one of the world's top five associations of independent accounting firms. His practice spans accounting, audit, tax, risk, assurance, and strategic consulting across a broad range of industries.
As an advisor to RealBooks, Mike brings institutional-grade accounting discipline and deep CPA expertise to a platform built for serious real estate investors. His experience in tax strategy, audit readiness, and financial structuring ensures that RealBooks' outputs meet the standards that investors, CPAs, and lenders expect.
Joe Cicali
Advisor - Mortgage
Joe is a mortgage and fintech executive with more than 20 years of experience modernizing home loan origination. As President and CEO of SimpLend Mortgage, and previously Chief Strategy Officer at UMortgage and Garden State Home Loans, he built the data-driven systems that scaled those teams to record output. He was named a 2024 HousingWire Vanguard for advancing the industry through automation.
Holding an MS in Finance from Drexel University, Joe gives RealBooks a direct line into the financing side of every real estate deal, ensuring the platform speaks fluently to how investors fund, refinance, and scale their portfolios.
